Elizabeth Allen married William Boles on Dec. 20, 1838.

Together they had three children:

Mahala Ann Boles; married James Reuben Delph. Their children: William (2 March 1865); Ida Elizabeth (3 Oct. 1874); Lucretia Bell (3 Oct. 1874) Mahala and James are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Johnson County, Indiana.

Sarah Ann Boles Hollandbeck (William P.) Sarah is buried in the Boles Cemetery.

Joesph Boles, married Sarah Catherine Francis Brown; both are buried in Greenlawn (FAG 34543423 & 34525413)

Boles Cemetery: Elizabeth's and William's monument is the only marker remaining. Toppled over and resting in pieces for years amidst overgrown brush, the marker was reassembled by Brad Manzenberger on July 13, 2011, and the cemetery site was cleared of debris and flora.

Other family: Elizabeth had a sister: Sarah Ann Allen (1825? - 5 April 1901); married Thomas M. Rivers on 3 May 1840.

Obituary:
Mrs. "Bettie" Boles died suddenly Sunday night at the home of her son-in-law Reuben Delph, southwest of Rocklane. Members of the family noticed that she was breathing hard and on going to her bed found that she was dying. She had retired in her usual health. Deceased was eighty-seven years old.
