Betty Jean Allender Bain age 76, of Camby, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in Northwest Manor Nursing Home, Indianapolis. She was born May 21, 1928 in Nashville, IN to Elisha Daniel & Dollie Childs Allender who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker most of her life and was a member of West Newton Full Gospel Tabernacle. She was the widow of Robert Lincoln Bain who she married January 19, 1946 and who died August 27, 1991. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 11 in West Newton Worship Center, West Newton, with Pastor Frank Gott officiating. Calling 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 10 in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville. Burial will be held in Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 9135 North Meridian St., Ste B-4 Indianapolis, IN 46209-7109. She was preceded in death by brothers: Floyd "Dutch", Wallace "Sug", Bob, and Danny Allender. She is survived by son, Robert E. Bain, Camby; daughter-in-law, Rita Bain of Indianapolis; daughters: Carol A. (Ronald) Payton of Camby and Terri L. (Terry) Cooper of Mt. Vernon; brother, John (Wanda) Allender of Camby; sisters: Alma (Delbert) Speer & Juanita Merriman both of Ft. Myers, Patty (Bill) Sanders of San Carlos, FL, and Shirley (Frank) Gott of Nashville, IN; grandchildren: Stephanie Badgley, Jennifer LaMar, Ronald Payton, Shannon Cooper, Kim Tanner and John Payton; and 11 great-grandchildren.
