Ellsworth Walker was the son of Luther D. and Joan Turner (Walden) Walker. A Navy veteran of WWII, Ellsworth survived the March 19, 1945 kamikaze attack on the U.S.S. Ben Franklin. He married wife Jean Corbett on the 5th of July 1941 and they remained wed until his death in 1986. Mr. Walker perished when the house he shared with his wife caught fire (located at 3847 Oliver Ave., Indianapolis, IN). The house was rebuilt and Mrs. Walker lived there until the end of her days. People who knew Ellsworth Walker would have described him as quick witted with an uncanny sense of humor. During his life, Ellsworth enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed game hunting.
