Gerard was born in the Prince George Regional Hospital, graduated from Prince George College and spent most of his working career at Northwood Pulp.
Gerard is predeceased by his father and mother, Elroy and Elda Garden.
Left to grieve his loss are brothers, Robert Garden (Gale), Don Garden (Marie Claire), Fr. John Garden. Sisters, Julie Thony (Ernie), Paula Garden (Carmen Conforti), Valerie Robinson (Jim), Patricia Garden. As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, all of the doctors, nurses and staff that cared for Gerard during his illness. In particular, Dr. Ducharme, Dr. York, Dr. Kraima, Dr. Fibich, Dr. Valev, Dr. K. Wilson, Dr. L. Wilson and Dr. Yu, as well as the nurses at the cancer unit. We have a special acknowledgement of love and appreciation for the nursing staff and volunteers at the Prince George Hospice House. We love you dearly and may God bless you all.
