Funeral service for Raymond C. Jett will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brantley Tillery, Pastor, Hulen United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Raymond C. Jett, age 93, Geronimo, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 24, 1925 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Oscar and Ethel Jett.

He moved to the Lawton area in a covered wagon at the age of four and attended Beaver Bend Schools.

He married Lucille Shaw on December 9, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death on July 19, 2012.

Raymond was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a mechanic and as a painter. Following his retirement he worked for John Lewis refurbishing antique vehicles. He attended Hulen United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Painter’s Union.

He is survived by his two daughters, Judy Phillips and husband George and Bernie Lee Reed; grandchildren and their spouses, Rhonda and Steve Elizondo, Lanora and Louie Lewis, Karla and Larry Williams, Wes and Carrie Phillips and Chad Reed; great grandchildren, Morgan, Lauren, Brayden, Derek, Dalton, Madison, Kenzie, Caili, Lacie, Cooper, Tyler, Layton and Hunter; one great great granddaughter, Kyra.

His brothers, Hubert and Chester Jett, and sisters, Laquetta Caldwell, Idalee Mooneyham and Lucille Romines, preceded him in death.
