Roma Jean Hilton Campbell, age 65, of of Johnson Ave., Elizabethton moved her residence to Heaven to be with her Lord on Monday, March 19, 2007 after a brief illness with cancer. She was a faithful wife to her husband, Charles Campbell for 49 years. Roma Jean was a loving and devoted mother to her children and loved her grandchildren with her heart. She was a member of Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church where she attended until she became ill. She also attended some services with her son at Johnson City Free Will Baptist Church. She loved music and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Her favorite hobby was working with her home computer. She was preceded in death by her mother Nellie Mae Sawyers Hilton Byrd, her father Joseph Bob Hilton, her stepfather, Bill Byrd, a son William Guy Campbell, a daughter, Debbie Mae Pearson, infant daughter Frances Arlene Campbell, a sister, Revonda Hilton McCurry, brothers, Junior Hilton, Harry Hilton and grandson Travis Dean Campbell.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Arley Campbell, a daughter, Judy Marie Davis, sons, Tony Charles Campbell, Clinton Arley Campbell, Ralph Edward Campbell and wife, Sherry. Grandchildren Stevie Presnell, Crystal Presnell, Charles and Dylan Davis, T.J. Campbell, C.J. Campbell, Melanie Pearson and Dillon Thomas Campbell. Step grandson, Scotty Miller, step granddaughter, Amber King, four great grandchildren and a host of loving friends. She has two surviving brothers, Claude Hilton and wife Jean of Canton, OH, and Harold Wayne Hilton and wife, Barbara of Elizabethton. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive along with a host of loving friends. Special friends in her life included Harold and Ann Lowe, Todd and Mary Ann Lowe, John and Lena Brewer, Susie Campbell, Jody Davis, a special niece Myra Humphrey and loving sister-in-law Barbara Hilton.
Interment will be a Highland Cemetery Wednesday, March 21, 2007
