Delphis Lambert Retired Farmer Taken By Death
Was Well Known Resident of Plymouth County
Delphis E. Lambert, 71, retired farmer, living at 127 First avenue, N. W., died at the Sacred Heart hospital in this city, December 25, 1943. He had been sick the past month with heart trouble. Mr. Lambert was born at Jefferson, S. D., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lambert, February 8, 1873, where he grew up. He lived for ten years in Oklahoma when a youth and for the past twenty-five years farmed in Plymouth county. He was married to Miss Florence Lucey at Merrill, February 3, 1925. He is survived by his wife, Florence, a daughter, Marjorie, a son, Lee, a sister, Mrs. Nettie Bruneau of Great Falls, Montana and two brothers, Lewis F. Lampert and Joseph Lambert of Jefferson, S. D. The funeral services were held Monday morning, St. James church with Rev. Bernard Bauer officiating at the mass. Pallbearers were: Jos. Schrier, Walter Elskamp, Frank C. Hentges, Val Schindler, Louis Brouillette, Ray Dorr. Interment was made in the cemetery at Merrill.
The Luken Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
