Sioux City Journal, Sioux City, Iowa, Wednesday, October 10, 1984, Page 25, Col. 2: The Rev. Clarence Lester Clason, 85, Indian Hills care center, died Monday in the nursing home after a brief illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Dr. Louis Lotz, pastor of the Morningside Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mr. Clason was born May 2, 1899, in Soldiers Grove, Wis. He graduated from the seminary in Minneapolis in 1920 and had been in the ministry for more that 50 years serving Methodist churches in Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa. He had also filled parish pastorates in the Reformed Church after his retirement in 1977. He married Myrtle G. Ratekin Morris Sept. 14, 1947, in Hamilton, Ill. She died Nov. 23. 1982.
