Ex-Mendon Resident Dies— Funeral services for Otto Andrew Andersen, 85 former resident of Mendon, will be held Tuesday at two p.m. in the Mendon Ward chapel. Friends may call form twelve Noon until time of services at the chapel. Mr. Andersen died Saturday following a heart attack at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lynn Parker, in Twin Falls, Idaho. (death record has died in pocatello) He was born in Mendon March 10th, 1875, a son of Andrew and Sophia Larsen Andersen. He homesteaded in Arbon Valley in Southern Idaho until his retirement in 1949. He married Retta Hansen. She died November 7th, 1941. Surviving are a son Harold, Alameda, California; four daughters, Mrs. Roy Grube, Poplar, Montana; Mrs. Norma Humphreys, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lynn Parker, Twin Falls; Mrs. Ivan Hewit, Pocatello; two brothers, Ezra T. Andersen, Pocatellp; George Andersen, California; a sister, Mrs. Annie Pett, Mesa, Oregon; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. ~The Herald Journal, November 21st, 1960, page 6.
