This master clockmaker’s legacy will chime on in the hearts of his loved ones. John “J.B.” Richardson, of Roanoke, Va., left this world after a short, but fierce, battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at home on Saturday, June 9, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. JB will be missed by many.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ocie and Kermit Richardson of Pedlar Hollow; children, Connie Clayton and Michael Richardson; and great-grandchild, Makayla Melton.
Keeping the clocks wound in his absence are Jean, his devoted wife of 63 years; sister, Virginia Martin; daughter, Pat Richards; son, Dennis Richardson and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Levi and wife, Jessica, Brian and wife, Kelsey, Karla, Patrick, and Ava; great-granddaughter, Morgan; numerous cousins; and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey’s North Chapel on Peters Creek Road. Online condolences may be made at www.oakeys.com.
