Mary Ellen (Ketcham) Catron, on June 7, 2018, after 88 years of life, now resides in "that house not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens".

A lifelong resident of Rossville, she was born on August 24, 1929 to Dr. John S. and Daphne Mae (Seward) Ketcham. She was a 1947 graduate of Rossville High School and married D. Glay Catron that same year. They were blessed with six children before he passed in 1970. In 1993, after 32 years, she retired from Mallory Controls in Frankfort. She promptly went back to work part time at Milner's Health Care, Rossville Video and the Mini Mart simultaneously. She was called out of retirement the second time when Terry McGill, Sr asked her to come work in the office at CFS. She worked for Terry from 1995 to 2003 retiring a third and final time!

She was a devoted member of the Rossville United Methodist Church, the Homer Cameron Legion Auxiliary and the Helen Bonebrake and Clinton Chapters of The Order of the Eastern Star.

She was an avid reader, at times reading a book a day!! She enjoyed her family, her organizations, and especially the "Lunch Bunch girls". But more than anything else, she was the most loving, supportive and understanding mother to her six children. We girls are so thankful we were able to spend vacations with her over the last several years, quality mother - daughter time we will cherish forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William G. Catron; and brother, Dr. James S. Ketcham.

She is survived by five daughters; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother.

A celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Rossville Park Pavilion (2 Catron Ln.). Visitation will be from 1:00 to the beginning of the Eastern Star Service at 3:30.
