Elizabeth (Caretta) Attwood, 90, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2018 at home with loving family by her side.
Family:
She is the beloved wife of the late John A. Attwood.
Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on Nov ember 24, 1927 the daughter of the late Giovanni and Assunta (Ravanello) Caretta.
She is the loving mother of Brian J. Attwood and his wife, Denise of Bellingham, Reno A. Attwood and his wife, Maria of North Stonington, CT, Lorraine McDermott and her husband, Maurice of Jones Port, ME, Jo Anne Rosa and her husband, William of Blackstone, Beverly Anne Hammare of Bellingham and the late Robert B. Attwood and Dary J. Attwood, Sr.
She leaves her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is the sister of the late Rino Caretta, Elsa Caretta and Stella Campbell.
Life:
She was a resident of Bellingham since 1963 formerly of Dominion, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
She was a communicant of St. Blaise Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and her greatest joy was her family. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Monday, June 18th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham, MA.
Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Elizabeth Attwood may be sent to St. Blaise Church Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham, MA 02019 would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of Cartiers Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
