Mr. Jerry Grimsley of Colquitt died Monday, June 11, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services will be Friday, June 15, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Marshall, Rev. Calvin Arnold and Gerald Garland officiating. A private family interment will follow at Primitive Union Cemetery. Active pall bearers will be Rawls Grimsley, Justin Grimsley, Dr. Joe Grimsley, Randy Amundsen, Kevin Calhoun, and Gregg Grimsley. Honorary pall bearers will be the Peoples South Bank Directors and the Miller County High School Class of 1957. Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2018, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Colquitt First Baptist Church.
Mr. Jerry was former President of Farmers Fertilizer and Milling Company and a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, J. Scott (Janet) Grimsley and W. Gerry (Melissa) Grimsley both of Colquitt, GA; four grandchildren, Anna (Caleb) Montgomery, Julia Grimsley, Rawls Grimsley and Justin Grimsley; and one brother Ray (Georgia) Grimsley of Colquitt, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Eric and Tassie Odom Grimsley; one brother, Larry Grimsley; and one sister, Carolyn Amundsen.
