After an illness of several months with a complication of diseases, Mrs. Nancy J. Myers, aged about 78 years, died at her home yesterday at 12 o'clock.

Mrs. Myers was the widow of the late G.W. Myers, for a number of years engaged in the grocery business in this city. She was one of the best-known women in this community.

Before her marriage to Mr. Myers, she was Miss Nancy Whaley, a daughter of the late Jodnson Whaley, and a native of Bath County. About 25 years ago she moved with her family to Paris where she has since resided.

Mrs. Myers was a member of the Methodist church and up to the time of her late illness, was a constant attendant upon all the services. She processed a lovely Christian character and was loved and admired by all who knew her.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. A.T. Forsyth and Mrs. Ida Desha, of this city, Mrs. Mary Whaley of Millersburg, and Mrs. Lucy Black, of Greencastle, Ind.

Mrs. Black, who has been at her bedside for several weeks returned a few days ago to her home but will arrive today to attend the funeral of her mother. Mrs. Whaley was at the bedside when the end came.

The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Sims at the residence on Mt. Airy Avenue, Saturday morning, July 5, at 9 o'clock.

The pallbearers will be A. T. Rice, James Daugherty, Frank O'Neil, Lyttleton Purnell, Dr. Wm. Kenney and E. B. January.
