Samuel "Sammy" Eickleberry Jr., age 49, of Dyer, IN passed away June 13, 2018 at Rush University Hospital in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his devoted wife of 11 years, Nancy; father, Samuel Sr.; mother, Sharon; twin sister, Stacey (Mike Starcevich); three children: Alyson, Adam and Jakob; father and mother in law, Armando (Carmen) Blanco; brother in law, Armando Jr. (Traci) Blanco; sister in law, Veronica Blanco; nieces: Amanda, Hannah, Simone; nephew, Duke; best friend, Gary Zentz and favorite hunting dog, Sugar. Sammy was employed at UPS in Hammond, IN for 30 years where he served as a union steward. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He coached his children in various sports and was a parishioner at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Munster, IN. Visitation will be Friday, June 15th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at BURNS-KISH FUNERAL HOME located at 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church Saturday, June 16th located at 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, with mass starting at 12:00 noon followed by a burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.
