Wake will be at 7 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave., with the Rev. Maurice Burks officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mr. Burks was born in Clarksville. He worked for 17 years at the Air Force Base in Amarillo and for the city of Amarillo for 26 years. He was a member of Antioch Bible Fellowship.
He married Claree Conley in 1960 at Panhandle.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth Raymond Burks and R.E. Burks Jr., both of Amarillo; a daughter, Jessie Marie Polk of Dallas; a brother, Will Burks; two sisters, Darcel Burks of Fort Worth and Edith Crawford of Clarksville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Antioch Bible Fellowship.
