Howard Richard Baugh, 88, a resident of Brookdale Senior Living, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018.

He was born on July 1, 1929, in Grafton, W.Va., and was the son of the late William and Flora Goff Baugh.

Howard was a tech sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He worked for the government for nine years, then owned and operated an upholstery business and later worked for Schewel’s Furniture. He was a member of Eureka Lodge No. 195 in Bridgewater and Memorial City VFW Post No. 3081 in Grafton, W.Va.

On Sept. 3, 1950, he married the former Helenamae Dougherty, who preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2007. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Allen Baugh.

He is survived by his four daughters, four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Masonic service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Woodsdale Memorial Park in Grafton, W.Va.
