Emily Ethel was born in Kenosha Co, Wisconsin where her father was the head of a girl's school there. She also died there. The family moved in 1880 to Kentucky. The census shows part of the family still in Wisconsin in the 1880 census and part of the family in Kentucky. Her grave was moved in 1912 at the request of her mother Cornelia Adelaide Everhart. The son, Lay Everhart, did most of the work in getting the graves moved for his mother. Several new gravestones were placed and graves were moved to North Carolina including George Marlow Everhart, Sr, who was originally buried in Georgia. Photos of the new graves are in the North Carolina Archives in Raleigh. The graves were moved in 1912. The Banner family graves were also moved to this cemetery.
