Elmo Alexander Whitehead, a resident of Broken Arrow passed away Friday, June 15 at the age of 86. Elmo was born September 23, 1931 in Jacksonville, Texas to Homer and Ethel Whitehead.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and would later go to work and eventually retired from Douglas Aircraft as a Aircraft Mechanic. Elmo will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Esther Delores Whitehead; parents, Homer E. and Ethel M. Whitehead; daughter, Donna "Christy" Schmidt; granddaughter, Angela McCaleb and his brothers and sister.

He is survived by his three daughters; sons-in-law; grandchildren/spouses; twenty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside service will be 10 am, Friday, June 22, 2018 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
