Mildred Brown Stockslager, 90, died peacefully of natural causes Friday, April 6, 2007 in Salt Lake City. She was born June 28, 1916 in Centerville, Utah the daughter of Ellen Rigby Brown and Benjamin Brown. She is the youngest of seven children. Mildred was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Davis High School where she was active in the Pro-Schola, a cheer club. Mother had a flirtacious charm about her that was so endearing. Mother retired from the Utah State Tax Commission. Mildred was married to Byron Smith briefly; married Serge Campbell (later divorced) and had two daughters, Pamela and Koye; married Bruce Clyde Allen (deceased) and had one daughter, Cynthia; married Charles Newell Stockslager (deceased). She is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Campbell Miller and Koye Campbell Fleming (Marty), both from Salt Lake; and Cynthia Allen Ellis (Clair) from Logan. Also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elmer LeRoy (Mary), Goldie Bettridge (David Henry), George Edward (Grace "Dixie") Centerville, Beatrice Baart, and infants Jessie and Lavone. Mom loved her parents, siblings, children and grandchildren more than anything else in this world. She will be greatly missed. "We love you, Mom." Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 11th at the Centerville City Cemetery, 550 S. 400 E, Centerville, UT. Friends and family are welcome to attend a viewing at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the mortuary prior to the services.
