JOHN N. BIGELOW

John N. Bigelow, 67, a local attorney, of 229 E. Pedregosa St., died in a local hospital yesterday after an illness of several months.

He was born in Stuart, Neb., Aug. 29, 1905 and received his law degree in 1927 from Creighton University College of Law. He was a member of the California, Nebraska, and Michigan State bars, and for many years was an attorney for the Farmers Insurance Group.

He brought his family here in 1967 and opened his own law practice in 1968. He belonged to the Gamma Eta Gamma legal fraternity.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald C. (Jaqueline) Stevens of Santa Barbara; and Mrs. Kevin (Maureen) Smith of La Habra; and seven grandchildren.

The rosary will be recited tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Halder Mortuary. Requiem mass will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
