Isaac Allen Havens Obituary May 4, 1914

Isaac Allen Havens, age 69 Years 1 month and 23 days, died of complication of dieases on Friday night at 5:20 P.M. o'clock. Iassc A. Havens was born in Rush County, Indiana,
March 15 1845 and the son of Elijah Havens, A pioneer settler of Rush County, IN,moved from kentucky.
His Mother was Catherine Gallagher, daughter of Isaac Gallagher, also of kentucky.

When Iassc was 7 years old he came to Tipton Co. With his
parents and settle in the vicinity of Curtsville, His parents both dead, their remains being at Pleasant Hill
near Elwood IN Madison Co. Indiana.

In his Father's family that surviving are, David Havens of Circo, Winfield Havens of Lebanon, Caroline wife of John B.
Farren, and wife Elle Wife Jacob Evans of Elwood, Ellizabeth widow of Dann Miiel Marshall of Curtisville, Acey wife of Frank Dutton of Winfall also Emma wife of James McDermitt near Elwood. The last name a daughter by a second marriage.
Children decesed, by the first marriage by Margaret Catherine Weir where Laura Ellen 1864-1880, John Milton 1869-1890, William Otto 1877-1879 Elizabeth Josephine 1871-1880

The second wife is widow of Tilman Arnfield. a dauther a
Daughter Emma was born.
During the Civil War on 1862 Isaac voluteered in Company B.
75th Indiana regimnt. But his health soon failed after service his country for seven monthd. He was discharged for disabilties, At the time of his death he was drawing a pension of $30.00 a month.

In 1863 he unitned in marriage with Margaret, the daughter of John Weir of Rush County. After their marriage they settled near Curtisville, in the community in which he ever after resided.

Eight Children were born to them four of whom are deceased.
The remaining number of the family are,
Mary wife of Joseph Brown of Indianapolis.
Charles Wesley of Anderson,
Daisy wife of Jackson Dunn of Anderson
Vernie Wife of Earl Caldwell of Elwood.

There are nineteen grandchildren, he was a member of the Christian Newlight Church of Curtisville. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic at Elwood, Indiana.
Burial at Curtisville.
