He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School and received his BS degree from Michigan State University. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and October 15, 1955 married Joyce C. Hettler in St. Johns, MI. His caring, fun loving personality lead him to the grocery business, where he and his brother Robert owned 2 Brothers Grocery Stores in Owosso and St. Johns. Paul moved to a successful career selling Harvester Silos and Dairyland seed. He was a life member of Owosso Masonic Lodge and was inducted into the Michigan High School Sports Hall of Fame.
Paul greatest accomplishment was the family, he and Joyce built. He loved being a father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. Family was the center of his life. He made sure every member of the family and their friends were loved and supported.
Survivors are wife, Joyce, children, Robyn (Jim) Hughes of Saline, MI, Tammie Buehler of Kentwood, MI and Suzann (Chris) Painter of Palm Harbor, FL. 3 grandchildren, Zachary (Jenaye) Hughes, Ashlynn Hughes and Mallorie (Doug) Renker. Great grandson Oliver Hughes and sister-in-law, Shirley Buehler and her four daughters' families. Preceded in death by brother, Robert Buehler.
