He was a carpenter. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Rincon Valley Grange 710. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Illias of Monte Rio; daughters Marie Oster of Concord and Phyllis Lichtenberger of Santa Rosa; brother Charles Illias of Illinois; and 5 grandchildren. Services were held at Welti Chapel of the Roses with Loran Biggs of the Christian Church officiating. Inurnment was at Chapel of the Chimes.
