Obituary from "Hartford Courant," New Haven, Connecticut, dated Friday, June 14, 1957, page 6:

"Mrs. Anna A. Clark, widow of Charles P. Johnson, former lieutenant governor of Missouri, died Wednesday at her Indian Neck summer home. She was 87. A funeral home spokesman said Mrs. Clark's body will be cremated and the ashes taken to her birthplace at Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, the first town west of the Mississippi to be settled by Americans.

Mrs. Anne Andre Clark, former St. Louis attorney, writer, and social worker, was one of the early proponents of prison reform, and served as a member of the National Committee on Prisons and Prison Labor in 1915.

Mrs. Clark's first husband was Charles Phillip Johnson, a one time St. Louis attorney and former lieutenant governor of Missouri. Her second husband was Charles Todd Clark, of St. Louis, who died about six years ago in California.

Mrs. Clark leaves three sons; Maurice Bernays Johnson (1893-1985), of Little Falls, New York, Francis Andre Johnson (1898-1972), of California, and Carol Clement Johnson (1903-1994), of New York City."

Note: The original obituary states Anne A. Clark had 2 sons and 1 daughter. The daughter is actually a son, Carol Clement Johnson.

CORRECTION TO OBITUARY:
Anne was first married to Mr. Wilder. She divorced him in 1908 and soon married her attorney, widower Charles P. Johnson. It is not known if he adopted the sons but not
likely as the father was still living and nearby. They did use the name Johnson at times.
In 1919 they separated and had a financial settlement. She got a decree of divorce from Mr. Johnson a month before his death in May 1920. Therefore, she was not his widow.

Research has indicated that Anne Amelia Andre was married 3 times:

# 2 Charles Phillip Johnson (Divorced d. 1920)
#1 Andrew J. Wilder (Divorced, d. 1904)
#3 Charles Todd Clark (d. 1949 California). His first wife was Mabel Olive Slayback whom he married on November 18, 1895 in St. Louis. Charles and Mabel had at least 2 children; Charles Todd Clark, Jr., and Fannie Todd Clark Mitchell.

Also, the surname of her three children goes from Johnson to Wilder and from Wilder to Johnson depending on which census you read. Also her birthplace is listed as Prairie du Rocher, Randolph County, Illinois, on some documents.
