ARLEAN LOUISE (LANGDON) PEMBERTON

Arlean Louise (Langdon) Pemberton, 85, of Fleming, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 . Visitation will be held from 10 am - 5 pm, with family receiving friends from 3 - 5 pm, Friday, June 1 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, June 2 at the Haxtun Berean Bible Church with Pastor Jim Crist officiating. Burial will be at the Haxtun Cemetery. Arlean was born October 10, 1932 in Fleming, Colorado to Alfred and Edith (Barden) Langdon. She attended several local schools including Good Hope, Dailey and Fleming. Arlean graduated from Fleming High School in 1951. On February 15, 1963 she married Francis Pemberton in Sterling. They lived in Sterling, Holyoke and Dailey area before moving into Fleming in 1988. Arlean worked as a telephone operator before her marriage and then was a homemaker and mother for many years before returning to work as a cook at a café in Haxtun. She finished her career working as a cook at the Sterling Regional MedCenter in 1997. She enjoyed a variety of hobbies including fishing with her father and grandfather, gardening, baking, doing embroidery and knitting hats. Arlean attended the Assembly of God churches in Sterling, Holyoke and Fleming for many years. Since 2010 she has attended the Haxtun Berean Bible Church. Arlean was known for sending cards and being a prayer warrior. Arlean is survived by her daughters, Michelle Pemberton of Fleming and Edith Pemberton of Sterling; son, Marvin Pemberton and wife, Suelyn of Paonia, CO; and grandchildren, Rachel, Timothy and Sarah of Paonia, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Pemberton; parents, Alfred and Edith Langdon; a brother, Earl Eugene Langdon; and grandchildren, Rebekah Grace, Isaac Nathaniel, Stephen Samuel, Titus Aaron and Tabitha Anna Pemberton.
