Nicholas S. Skrinjar of Pine Hollow Road, Rogers, died on Saturday, January 19, 2002, from injuries he received in an auto accident near Rogers. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on November 9, 1983, the son of Stephen J.and Marcie (Thompson) Skrinjar of Rogers. Nick was a Senior at Beaver Local High School where he was a member of the the Varsity Baseball Team, the National Honor Society, R.O.T.C. and the R.O.T.C. Rifle Team and the Future Farmers of America. He had also been a member of 4 H for 9 years most recently belonging to the Country Hands 4 H Club. He had attended the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool and the Networking Technologies Class at Kent State University. Nick was also a former member of the Beaver Local Band and had been employed at the Rollerplex in Glenmoor. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Noah S. Skrinjar at home, his Maternal Grandparents, Donald and Mary Eleanor Thompson of Calcutta, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceeded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Frank and Barbara Skrinjar. Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Thomson of the Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Calcutta United Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home in Calcutta today from 2:00 PM till 9:00 P.M.
