Col. William Patterson, one of the oldest residents of Lee county, died at his home in Keokuk, Oct. 24th, at the advanced age of 87 years. Col. Patterson was the first elder of the First Presbyterian society formed in Iowa at West Point in 1887, and was one of the first business men of Keokuk.
