Florene Maye “Flo” Berblinger, 83, of Sterling, passed away June 20, 2018, at the Newton Medical Center, Newton, KS, after suffering a massive stroke. She was born on December 7, 1934, in Little River, KS, the daughter of Robert and Florence Murdick Reynolds. She graduated from Sterling High School. Flo has resided at the Asbury Park Retirement Community in Newton for the past year, formerly of Sterling. She was a bank teller for First Bank in Sterling formerly the Farmers State Bank for twenty-five years. Flo was a member of the United Methodist Church, Sterling, where she also taught Sunday School for many years; member of the XI Zeta Delta Sorority; she was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels in Sterling and was a faithful bridge player. On April 15, 1955, Flo was united in marriage with Marion G. Berblinger in Sterling. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2014. She is also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Brownlee, and Russell; four sisters, Bethel, Dorothy, Roberta, and twin sister Florence. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the United Methodist Church, Sterling with Pastor Matt Hendricks officiating. Burial will be at the Sterling.
