Gleason M. "Bing" Bingham, 83, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin. He was born Aug. 23, 1917, in Adair County, Ky. His parents were Melvin and Leona Belle (Kemp) Bingham.
Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Ford and Pauline Smith, both of Greenwood; and a brother, Junie K. Bingham of Franklin. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Bingham and James Bingham; three sisters, Ruth Bertram, Pearl Beard and Gertrude Hommel; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a projectionist for the Artcraft Theatre in Franklin for more than 40 years, retiring in 1980. He continued to work in the theater office following retirement. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin and the Foundation of the Motion Picture Pioneers.
Services were entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home of Whiteland, Indiana.
