Andrew was the third of ten children born to Andrew J. and Harriet (Matheson) Moose. He married Laura Isabelle Stern and they had eleven children: Dolly Mae, Mary Belle, Mattie Susanna, Bertha Ethel, Hannah E., John William, Zada Adeline, Charles Edwin 'Eddie', Winnie Gertrude, Jesse Alvin and Leona.

Andrew M. Moose,
Pioneer of Kerr

Funeral services were held Monday for Andrew M. Moose, 83, a pioneer resident of Kerr County, who died March 21 at the home of his son, Alvin Moose, in Oak Park.
The services were conduct by the Rev. C. R. Brewster, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Kerrville. Interment was made in the Turtle Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Haines Funeral Home.
Mr. Moose had lived in Kerr County for the past 45 years. He was a Civil War veteran, having enlisted at the age of 16.
Surviving are his widow, three sons and eight daughters.
