===================
4/23/2000 I had a wonderful conversation with my cousin George Andrews. The last time we had seen each other was more than likely at our Grandmother Poppin's funeral in 1968. However, I don't remember the moment. I do remember seeing George and his brother John on occasion when we would visit Grandmother and Grandfather Poppin at their home on Rhode Island Street in San Francisco. George is a computer programmer and has been active in this occupation since 1977 when he was employed by Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. He is educated, well-spoken, articulate and appears to be gentle-mannered. He would like to own a home and has been casting his eyes on the Sacramento area as being an affordable place to live. He would also like to complete his college degree. Throughout the years, he had been taking classes and quit just shy of a degree. I told him not to wait until he is 80 years. I wish him the best of everything and I am sure he will be successful.
