World War 2, enlisted January 23, 1941, in Headquarters & Service Company 51st Regiment ( Squadron A ), New York Guard, New York City. He was discharged, March 16, 1942, to enlisted in the US Armed Forces.

Entered service, March 4, 1941, at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He attended Officers Candidate School at Edgewood Arsenal, MD. Date of discharge unknown.

Post World War, he was the assistant attache to the American Embassy in Cairo.
