Toftness, Cecil G.
of Palos Verdes Estates, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2003. He was born in Glasgow, Montana, September 13, 1920. Mr. Toftness moved to Palos Verdes Estates with his wife, Chloe, in the early 1950's. He became a member of the California State Bar on January 8, 1954 and practiced law in the Hollywood Riviera before moving his office to Malaga Cove Plaza in 1962. Cecil and Chloe traveled the world but always loved coming back to their home in Palos Verdes. Chloe passed away in June of 1994. Cecil will be remembered for his generosity. His involvement with the community and his good nature. He is survived by his nephew, Roger Van Remmen and countless friends which he considered his extended family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the Glasgow High School Educational Trust Fund or The Joaquin, Bessie Vincent Trust Fund and sent to Toftness Law Office, P.O. Box 86, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 31290 Palos Verdes Dr. West, Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday, August 15th at 12:00 noon.
