Mrs. Christena V. Mallon, 67, passed away Monday, December 24th, at Providence Hospital. She entered the hospital on December 10th after suffering a heart attack at her home. Mrs. Mallon lived at 2732 North Tenth Street and had been a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, all her life. Mrs. Mallon was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, its Altar Society, the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association, the Tuesday Bridge Club of Kansas City, Kansas, and the women's auxiliary to the National Postal Transport Association.

She was the widow of Albert E. Mallon, who died in 1951. She leaves her two sisters, Mrs. Nellie L. Hollenbeck of Denver and Miss Gertrude C. Schweltzer of the home, and a brother, John Schweitzer of Webster Groves, Missouri.

The family received friends at the Butler Chapel, where the Rosary was recited after the visitation. The Funeral Mas was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
