James Stone, 90, of Henrietta, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Henrietta, Texas with Rev. Howard Walker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
James was born on November 8, 1927 in Olton, Texas to Frank Wallace and Lucy Francis (Huckabee) Stone. He served his country in the US Army Air Corp as an Aircraft Armor man during WWII and a combat motion picture photographer in the Korean Conflict. James married Anita (Denny) on October 19, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas. James was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henrietta and was retired from the US Postal Service.
James was preceded in death by his parents; wife Anita Stone; sisters, Betty Allmand, and Sue Morris; two twin granddaughters in April of 1980, Regina and Charline Hansard.
Survivors include daughter, Carol Hansard and husband Doug of Henrietta; son, Jimmy Stone of Henrietta; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy Stone and wife Eddi of Duncan, Oklahoma and Bill Stone and wife Judy of Granbury, Texas; two brother-in-laws, Gene Allmand of Henrietta and Mo Morris of Tennessee.
The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7:00 pm- 8:00 pm.
