Buried May 20, 1900. E.A. Whitney Undertaker. Charles apparently belonged to the Gitche Gumee Tribe No 7.
"They paid for lot 66 in block 9 and the deed was given to the Red Men." There was a Charles E. Hildreth who lived in Superior in the late 1890's who was a Cooper. Perhaps this is the same man.

Charles died of pneumonia according to a short mention in The Duluth News Tribune dated May 19, 1900.
