He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Schmitt Crews; son, Lloyd Michael Crews of Farmington; daughter, Vicki Zinn of Albuquerque; grandsons, Steven, Nicholas, Michael Jason; granddaughters, Shiela and Michele; six great- grandchildren; and numerous loving relatives and friends. Mr. Crews was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Pearl Crews; three brothers; and three sisters.
A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Albuquerque, 30-year employee of Mountain Bell Telephone of Albuquerque, he retired in June of 1982. Lloyd was a World War II Army Veteran, European Theatre, Patton s 3rd Army, 26th Infantry of the Famed Yankee Division at the Battle of the Bulge and served through VE Day to the occupation until January 1946.
He was a recipient of The Bronze Star, for bravery above and beyond the call of duty.
Lloyd stood 5'18" he was a"large" fan of country music. Lloyd was a volkswagon enthusiast.
