He was born on March 3, 1945, in Brownsville, Pa., the son of the late Pasquale Cimaglia and Maria D'Onofrio Cimaglia.
Mr. Cimaglia was a 1963 graduate of Brashear High School in Brownsville and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville, Pa., Brownsville Jaycees, Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge 731 in Brownsville, Pa. He was retired from Bechtel Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin, Pa., after 38 years of service.
Patsy was a loving and devoted husband, father and pappy. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Joan Muchisko Cimaglia; daughter, Deneen Gould and husband, Charles of Richeyville, Pa.; sons: Anthony Cimaglia and wife, Cathy of Short Gap, W.Va., Paul Cimaglia and wife, Jessica of Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren: Candice, Tristan, and Kortnie Gould, Christian Cimaglia and Jeffrey Cimaglia; brothers: Albert Cimaglia and wife, Lottie of Macedonia, Ohio, Michael Cimaglia and wife, Minna of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters: Mary Slusarick and husband, Vincent of Brownsville, Pa., Evelyn Gudac of Brownsville, Pa., Rose Marie Meese and husband, Solomon of Uniontown, Pa., Lenore Sofcheck and husband, James of Macedonia, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ettore Cimaglia, and sister, Ladina Cimaglia.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at noon in the Historic Church of Saint Peter, Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in Saint Peter's Cemetery.
The Brownsville Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge 731 will hold services on Friday at 3 p.m. The Parish Rosary will be recited on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
