Mrs. Abamonte was born June 14, 1925, in New York City, daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Redina) Cardone. Before moving to Southbury, she lived in Smithfield Gardens in Seymour, CT.
She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Andrew Abamonte, of Southbury and also survived by her niece, Marilyn Stokes and godson and nephew Dennis O'Connell, plus many great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 3rd in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury, CT. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Calling hours: Monday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the chapel of Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury, CT.
