Chester Joseph Beaudine, 83, was born June 20, 1933 to Julian and Philomena Mader Beaudine and grew up on the family farm near Audubon, MN. His mother passed away when he was very young and he was raised by his loving step-mother, Elda.
He graduated from Audubon High School and was drafted into the army in 1951 during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany where he was an instructor in tank transmissions.
He married Mayvis Marie Mortenson on May 29, 1954 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Lake Park, MN. After his honorable discharge, he returned to the Lake Park area where he started B&B Electric which he operated until his death.
Chester was a member of American Legion Post 181, Chief of Lake Park Fire Department, served on the City Council, and founding member of the Midnight Riders Snowmobile Club. In 1975 he and Mayvis moved to Cormorant Township where he served on the township board.
Chester passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 with his wife of 63 years and family by his side.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards, and his grandkids. He was passionate about his electrical contracting business and was very highly respected in the industry.
Chester is survived by his wife; children, Jeannie Dale Wilde, Mike Marge Beaudine, Jody Beaudine, Tammy Mark Imsande, John Beaudine; brothers, Marlyn Beaudine and Norman Beaudine; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his baby daughter, Margaret Susan and sister Lorraine.
