She attended public school and was a graduate of Brooklyn College in 1949, then continued her education there for additional Masters degree credits. She taught elementary school in New York City and in West Haven, CT where she and her family moved to in 1963.

In 1978 she and her husband opened the Recreation Showroom. To this day the store, now known as Encore Billiards & Gameroom has remained a family business in Milford, CT.
In later years she and her husband moved to Heritage Village in Southbury. She was an avid painter and had many circles of friends. She loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas where the two frequented more times than we can count. She was fun, she loved people and everyone who knew her loved her back.
