Nancy Peeler Kluttz, 83, of Signal Mountain, TN died Wednesday, October 16, 2013. She was born May 21, 1930 in Granite Quarry, North Carolina to Adam Henry Peeler and Jettie Moose Peeler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Miles Joseph Kluttz. Mrs. Kluttz was a Lutheran all of her life and was currently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. In her early years she attended Salisbury Business School and worked as a Rowan County Tax Collector. After marrying she traveled with her husband while he was in the U. S. Navy. She devoted most of her life to being a loving wife and mother. She was a former member of the Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing bridge and bingo with her friends and family. Survivors include children David Kluttz of Chattanooga, and Jane (Craig) Mullinax of Ooltewah; grandchildren Jeremy Kluttz, Jenalee Kluttz, Sara Kluttz, Casey Kluttz, Adam Mullinax and Andrew Mullinax; sisters Rebecca P. Henderson of Statesboro, NC and Edith Fraley of Granite Quarry, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 19 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, East Ridge, TN with Pastor Gilbert Pingel officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 -10:45 Saturday morning. Visitation: The family will be at Powles Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2:00 PM Sunday. Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:30 PM at Wittenberg Lutheran Church Cemetery by Rev. Thomas F. Cogan, pastor of Wittenberg Lutheran Church.
