Mrs. Lora Ahern, 95, formerly of 322 Rich Street, died July 25 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Ahern was employed in the alteration department of Edson's women's shop until retiring in 1938. A native of Oswego, she had resided in Syracuse for 70 years. She is survived by a son, Charles J. Ahern; by three grandsons, Michael J. Ahern, Robert Kane, and William Kane; by a granddaughter, Mrs. Edward Tobin; and by 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at most Holy Rosary, where a requiem mass was celebrated.
