After serving his country proudly for 20 years, Bernie retired from the U.S.Navy. He was also a loyal member of the Knights of Pythias, Charity lodge 10.
Other than his parents, Bernard is preceded in death by his son Michael R. Bergin.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Judy Bergin; daughter Tina (David) Keller; sons Paul (Colleen) Bergin and Joseph (Stephanie) Bergin; grandchildren Erin, Jacob, Alex, Trevor, Logan, Destiny, Kyle, Leanne, Rebecca and Cadan; sister Kathrine (Jim) Fague; brother Kenneth (Maria) Bergin. Many other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with the rendering of military honors will be held on July 12 @ 1:00 PM at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle VA. Arrangements by Altmeyer Funeral Home.
