Billy Joe Bannister, 70, of Waxahachie, Texas, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Burial will be at Trinidad City Cemetery.

Billy Joe was born on December 19, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Jessie Howard Bannister and Margie (Patterson) Bannister. He worked at Haley & Greer as a Glazier where he installed the windows at the Reunion Tower in Dallas. He also worked as a welder for Howard’s Metal Craft and was a striper fishing guide at Lake Texoma for 30 plus years.

He enjoyed spending his free time playing poker and horseshoes. Bill loved spending time with his family and enjoyed getting together for the holidays.

He was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia; daughter, Tammy Richardson and her husband, David; sons, Billy Bannister and his wife, Debbie Everett, David Bannister and his wife, Amy; grandchildren: Shanynne Sullivan, P.J. Pedlar, Chris Bannister, Justin Bannister, Melissa Bannister, Billy Bannister Jr., Anthony Ramirez, Devin Dyer, and Dylan Dyer; great-grandchildren: Baylie Sullivan, Summer Sullivan, Callie Sullivan, Avery Pedlar, Miley Gonsalez, Layla Hardwick, Kacee Ramirez, and Isabella Ramirez; brothers, Fred Bannister and Bobby Bannister; sisters, Barbara Raney and Louise Freeman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
