At the time of Johann Martin Speagle's death in 1805 in North Carolina, per his will, his seven surviving/known children were Catherine Speagle Fifer and her six brothers:

"Katherine Speagle" and "Jacob Fifer" were married in Lincoln County, North Carolina on 18 Feb 1784. Israel/Isaac Jacob Fifer (1754 Pennsylvania - 1837 Kentucky) was a veteran of the American Revolutionary War, in the German Regiment Va. and N. C.
Following the death of her father, her family moved from from North Carolina to Kentucky.
Three of the six brothers of Catherine Fifer finally settled in Kentucky, as well:
Samuel Speagle, John Martin Jr. Speegle and Phillip Speagle.
Of the other three brothers:
Michael Speagle, the last brother to leave North Carolina, settled in Tennessee;
Daniel Jacob Speagle and Jonathan David both settled in Alabama.
