Jane Kaneas, 89, passed away April 17, 2018. Born January 18, 1929 in Akron, she lived in Tallmadge since 1962.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Antony; daughter, Marianne Blankenship; and brother, Richard Breth.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Melanie Kaneas of Mexico; son, Anthony (Mary) Kaneas of Kent; son in law, Don Blankenship; grandchildren, Mark (Lindsay) Kaneas, Karen (Drew) West; Malina (Jason) Schoenbaechler, Justin and Jordan Blankenship; great grandchildren, Dillon, Tyler and Kate West and Brice and Sydney Schoenbaechler.

Jane retired from Ohio Edison with over 15 years of service as a Draftsman. She was an active member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where she was member of the Philoptochos and Quilting group. Jane was a member Akron Civic Theatre Women’s Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, working at the Civic Theatre, visiting the Jersey shore, gardening and bird watching.

Visitation will be 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) with Trisagion Service at 5:00 p.m.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union, Akron with Fr. Jerry Hall and Fr. Andrew Lentz officiating.

Interment will be at Mount Peace Cemetery.
