Emma L Spink died at the age of 86yrs from carcinomia of the colon. Mrs Spink had lived in the Mellette Community since 1882, died at St Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen. She was married to Percy A Spink (s/o Ezra L and Elizabeth Spink) 6 Jun 1900 in Redfield, Spink, SD. The last 2 yrs she has been a resident of the Eastern Star Home in Redfield. Survivors are son Lester (Ruth Eldredge) of Turton; daughters Mrs Homer E (Florence) Darcy of Mellette(Florence is buried in Mellette); Mrs Denver (Grace/Grayce) Dapper of Los Angeles, Calif; Mrs Edward (Frances) Braun of Mellette and Mrs Helen Jacobs of Morecroft, Wy; four grandcildren; eight great grandchildren, Her husband, parents and one brother preceded her in death.
