Jesse Robert Adams, 82, New Castle, widower of Eva Croxton Adams, died Monday, April 19, 2004 at the Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange.

Born Dec. 14, 1921 in Henry County, he was a son of the late Bernie and Florence LaFollette Adams.

He was a farmer and a retired employee of GE after 30 years. He was a member of the Ballardsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Vickie (Joe) Ballard of Harrodsburg, and Debbie McKinney of New Castle; two sons, Donald Ray Adams and Earl Wayne Adams, both of LaGrange; two sisters, Edith Adams Tennill of New Castle, and Gladys Bramblett of Pleasureville; one brother, Thomas Adams of Corydon, IN; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

The funeral will be today, Thursday, at 11 a.m. at the Prewitt Funeral Home in New Castle with Rev. Tommy Purvis, pastor of the Ballardsville Baptist Church and Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Eminence Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff, Brian, Buster and Tony Adams, Robbie Ballard and Josh McKinney.

Honorary bearers will be Kim and Lance Hall, Laney, Staci and Maddie Bast, Donna and Aaron Smith, Holly Derossett, Beth and Taylor Bustle, Brandy Whitehouse and Lori Adams.
